Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.
As the seasons change...
Autumn has fully come; it can be a time to reflect. The long hot days of summer have gone and the short cold days of winter approach. All seasons have their beauty and their function. Life is like that. We have seasons. Sometimes we seem to race ahead and see incredible growth, sometimes we are still, and nothing seems to be happening. In reality we are never in a season of 'nothing' In winter when the trees are bare and the ground is hard and cold, much is happening beneath the surface!
Preparation for spring....
Microorganisms and fungi remain active, conctinuing to break down organic matter at a slower, steadier pace.
"Potassium Squeeze” Winter triggers a microscopic chemical reset in British agricultural soils. Wow how amazing is that! Just imagine what God is doing beneath the surface in our lives during our 'still' times! Preparing us for what's ahead. Restoring, repositioning, getting us ready for growth setting us back on our path to the destiny He has for each of us.
Father we pray that we will be sensitive to the seasons in our lives. That we will surrender to you and allow you to prepare us for great things. That we will arise refreshed and ready, giving glory, honour and praise for all that you have done and will do through us.
